Conflux Slash /78 Solid Colors
The worlds first fully carbon composite fly reel. Our minimalist design is built to last a lifetime.
A careful blend of art and engineering, the Conflux Slash /78 features a double curved carbon frame that wraps the spool and serves as the stone like foundation for the reel.
Each one is hand made from raw inputs in Vancouver Canada, and then painted by artisans in a confluence of advanced manufacturing and authentic craftsmanship.
These reels can take a hit and still run straight. The Conflux Slash /78 offers unrivaled toughness despite its low mass. Conflux uses made in the USA aerospace grade carbon fabric with high toughness epoxy to provide stiff and resilient products.
The Slash /78 features titanium hardware and a sealed dual disc drag. Drag is absolutely smooth and free from breakout, and our spools ride on largest in class sealed stainless ceramic bearings. All aspects of the Slash /78 are corrosion and UV resistant. Military spec Type III hard anodizing is applied on critical components keeps the reel performing and looking like new.

We include 2 drag knobs with every reel, one ergonomic dial and one compact dial which allows for a tool free spool change on the river.
We offer 3 color ways, Blue, Orange and Teal. Within these colorways we have 2 options. Dark grey metallic and silver base coats for 6 total paint options.
Please note that despite some pictures shown, all spools are manufactured with gloss clear coat over raw 2x2 carbon twill and all logos are black.
Both frame and spool are finished with a UV stabilized, toughened automotive grade clear coat.
